How Fudi uses your location
Identify when your location is requested and how it intervenes in Explore and visit registration.
Article content
Fudi uses location to sort restaurants by proximity and to help validate loyalty operations.
In Explore
Location is optional. If you've already granted permission, Fudi calculates the linear distance to the nearest active branch. You can continue exploring restaurants without sharing it.
When registering a visit
Location is required to send a visit from a printed or dynamic QR. Fudi records the coordinates and reported accuracy along with the attempt. If the branch requires geofencing, compare that position with the configured radius and reject the operation outside the area.
The app requests permission when a function needs it. If you deny or turn off location service, Explore will still be available, but you won't be able to complete a visit that requires location.
Location data is part of the operational and anti-fraud record of that visit; They are not displayed publicly on your profile.
